The poster shows a quote from the famous director, screenwriter and artist David Lynch who is well known for his disturbing and mystic images. The quote says: "I hate slick and pretty things" which is reflected in the graphic style of the poster and the typography. The type is not as easily legible as regular fonts in order to create more interest. The yellow font on the right is David Lynchs signature.
Approach
After a few experiments with ink, I created parallel lines with a brush and started cutting pieces from it to shape the different letters and numbers.
